陰嚢水瘤に対する塩酸ミノサイクリン注入療法

TREATMENT OF HYDROCELE BY INJECTION OF MINOCYCLINE HYDROCHLORIDE

　15例の陰嚢水瘤（成人8例，小児7例）に対し，穿刺吸引後，再発防止を目的として3％塩酸ミノサイクリン溶液（0.5〜1％リドカインにて溶解）の注入による硬化療法を行った。結果は1〜3回の治療（観察期間4〜18月，平均11.8月）で，15例中13例（87％）が治癒した。そのうち，成人の8例は全例が治癒したのに対し，小児では7例中5例（71％）であり，小児で治癒率が軽度劣った。主な合併症は成人例での注入部の疼痛であり鎮痛剤の投与にて軽快した。本治療は成人のみならず小児の陰嚢水瘤に対しても有効である。

Fifteen hydroceles (8 adults and 7 children) were treated by sclerotherapy using 3% minocycline hydrochloride solution dissolved with 0.5% or 1% lidocaine.

The over-all cure rate was 87% (71% in children and 100% in adults) with 1 to 3 treatment in follow up for 4-18 months (mean 11.8 months). The difference of the cure rate between children and adults seems to depend upon the difference of genesis of each hydrocele.

A notable complication was scrotal pain on adult patients, which, however, disappeared with analgesics within a couple of hours.
