超音波スクリーニングによる腎腫瘍発見の試み

ULTRASONOGRAPHICAL SCREENING FOR RENAL TUMORS INOUT-PATIENT CLINIC OF IN1 ERNAL MEDICINE

　腹部臓器の腫瘍性疾患のスクリーニングの目的で，内科一般外来患者763例（男336例，女427例，平均年齢61.2歳）に対して超音波検査を行い，5例の腎細胞癌と2例の腎血管筋脂肪腫を発見した。スクリーニング陽性率は腎細胞癌でみると0.65％となり，従来の報告に比し極めて高率であった。摘出標本で計測された腎細胞癌の最大径は最小1.5cmから最大10cmまでであり，その病理所見は，pT_2bが2例，pT_2aが1例，pT₁が2例であり，いわゆる早期例が多かった。

We have performed a screening study for renal tumors in out-patient clinic of internal medicine. We have screened 763 patients by ultrasound. The mean age of the screened group was 61. 2 years. We found 7 patients with tumors (5 renal cell carcinomas and 2 renal angiomyolipomas). The positive rate for carcinoma in this screening was 0.65%, which was much higher than those of reported studies. None of the patients with carcinoma had any significant clinical symptoms.
