膀胱ビルハルツ住血吸虫症の1例

A CASE OF URINARY SCHISTOSOMIASIS

　患者は28歳の日本人男性で，アフリカ中西部に2年問在住後，肉眼的血尿を主訴に来院した。膀胱鏡にて膀胱腫瘍と診断し，経尿道的膀胱腫瘍試験切除術を施行した結果，虫卵が検出され，さらに尿中虫卵検索によりビルハルツ住血吸虫症と判明した。praziquantel（biltricide^®の内服により，治療開始後24ヵ月を経た現在良好に経過中である。ビルハルツ住血吸虫症は本邦では極めて稀であり，3例の報告があるにすぎない。

A 28-year-old Japanese man was admitted with a complaint of gross hematuria. Cystoscopy revealed multiple mass with redness in vault and posterior of bladder. The diagnosis of urinary schistosomiasis was made by detection of Shistosoma haematobium ova in urine and histological examination of spe-cimens obtained by mucosal biopsy of the bladder. Radiographic and endoscopic examination revealed neither obstructive uropathy nor urothelial malignancy. He was given praziquantel (biltricide®), which made uneventful recovery and he became asymptomatic for 24 months after the treatment.
