尿失禁に対するテフロンペースト注入療法

TRANSPERINEAL POLYTETRAFLUOROETHYLENE INJECTION FOR POST-TUR URINARY INCONTINENCE

　経尿道的前立腺切除術後，尿失禁の持続する11例に対してテフロンペースト（Polytetrafluoroethylene paste）を経会陰的に高圧注射器を用いて注入し，5例に完全治癒，5例に著明改善の効果が得られた。本療法は，尿失禁に対する治療法の一つとして有効と思われる。

Transperineal polytetrafluoroethylene (Teflon) paste injections were performed on 11 patients with incontinence following transurethral resection of the prostate. All patients had been incontinent for 2 months to 50 months and had failed to improve with conservative management. Results have been good to excellent in approximately 91 per cent of the cases. Perineal discomfort and urethral diverticulum have been found in each one case of patient.
