シメチジン投与中にみられた出血性膀胱炎の1例

HEMORRHAGIC CYSTITIS DEVELOPING DURING CIMETIDINE THERAPY: A CASE REPORT

緒言

　シメチジンは消化管潰瘍に対する制酸剤として広く使われているが尿路系の副作用は稀である。最近われわれはシメチジンとの関連が疑われる出血性膀胱炎の1例を経験したので報告する。

A 52 year-old man was referred to us because of severe bladder irritability and gross hematuria of two weeks duration. He had suffered from gastric ulcer. He had been given cimetidine 800 mg per day for 17 days for the treatment of gastric ulcer. Urinalysis showed no pyuria. Urine culture grew no bacteria. Cystoscopy revealed multiple ulcers covered with white fur and small concretions and a reddish mucosa. The urinary symptoms did not improve with antibiotics. Biopsy of the bladder mucosa showed non-specific granulation infiltrated with lymphocytes and eosinophils.
