  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

A thirty-nine year old female visited the Department of Urology in Niigata University Hospital with the chief complaint of urinary retention on March 28, 1951. She had been performed supravaginal hysterectomy for hydatidiform mole at the age of 26 years, and subsequent radium therapy had been done. Clinical diagnosis at that time was urethral stricture, perhaps of postradiation nature. On April 11, 1951 she underwent total cystourethrectomy and bilateral ureterosigmoidostomy. Postoperative course was uneventful.
