腹部停留睾丸に合併した副睾丸炎の1例

ACUTE EPIDIDYMITIS OF CRYPTORCHID: A CASE REPORT

緒言

　陰嚢内腫瘤を主訴として来院した時，睾丸腫瘍，睾丸捻転，副睾丸炎，鼠径ヘルニア，陰嚢水腫などいろいろな鑑別診断を行わなければならない。今回われわれは，左腹部停留睾丸に副睾丸炎を合併し，炎症性の硬結を伴つた副睾丸尾部が陰嚢内に脱出，腫大したため，睾丸腫瘍との鑑別が困難であつた1例を経験したので報告する。

A 56-year-old man was admitted to our hospital with complaints of left intrascrotal mass and pain. Before these complaints, he could not palpate his left testis in the scrotum scince his childhood. On the second hospital day, we performed surgical exploration of the mass. The left abdominal testis was hypoplastic. The epididymis was elongated through the inguinal canal, and its tail was out of the canal and formed a hard mass. Pathological examination of the mass was acute epididymitis asso-ciated with a cryptorchid testis.
