  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

A 31-year-old housewife was hospitalized because of headache and nausea. Physical examination was negative without marked hypertension (180/110). Plasma renin activity (PRA) was 2.5ng/ml/h and results obtained by renal vein blood sampling, Saralacin test, rapid sequence IVP and renogram suggested renovascular hypertension caused by right renal arterial stenosis. An arteriogram showed right renal artery with 3 branches; the upper renal pole blood supply thin artery, the main blood supply renal artery which was stenotic at the distal portion of arterial branching and the lower pole blood supply artery.
