LeVeen shuntを施行して難治性腹水の減少をみた慢性腎不全の2例

CASE REPORTS: LEVEEN'S SHUNT IMPLANT FOR INTRACTABLE ASCITES IN CHRONIC RENAL FAILURE

緒言

　透析患者独特の疾患として，保存的治療に抵抗する難治性腹水貯留症候群^1〜3）がある。今回，われわれは，LeVeenのPeritoneo Venous shunt　（以下LeVeen shunt）植え込み術を施行して，難治性腹水の減少をみた慢性腎不全患者の2例を経験したので，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

Intractable ascites, resistant to conservative therapy contained ECUM (extracorporeal ultrafiltration method), was experienced in two patients undergoing hemodialysis for chronic renal failure.

Ascitic fluid contained the total protein content being 2.5 and 4.2g/dl, and was bacteriologically sterile, however, no cause for the ascites could be determined.

LeVeen's peritoneo-venous shunt, consisting of venous tube, pressure sensitive oneway valve, and collecting tube, was implanted in two patients for the treatment.
