Chlamydia trachomatisの培養方法について

METHOD OF CULTIVATION OF CHLAMYDIA TRACHOMATIS

緒言

　Chlamydia trachomatisについては，Holmesら^1）の報告によると非淋菌性尿道炎（NGU）の患者尿道から42％，また淋菌性尿道炎（GU）の患者からは19％に培養されたといわれており，Chla-mydiaはNGUあるいはPostgonococcal urethritisの原因としても重視されていることは衆知の通りである。

　一方，Chlamydiaについては，国内の泌尿器科系を含む各雑誌などに数多く紹介されているが，著者らの調べえた範囲では，泌尿器科領域では培養結果についての報告は今までになく，また培養方法も確立されていないのが現状と思われる。

Method of cultivation of Chlamydia trachomatis from urethral discharge of men with gonococcal and non-gonococcal urethritis was briefly described as a preliminary report.

Cultivation was performed on McCoy cells with or without pretreatment by antimetabolites after centrifugation at 33℃ at 4000g for 1 hour.

As a result, satisfactory isolation rate was obtained regardless of pretreatment by antimetabolites.

C. trachomatis was isolated from 3 of 11 patients with non-gonococcal urethritis and 1 of 14 patients with gonococcal urethritis.
