老人泌尿器科症例の合併症について

A STUDY OF COMPLICATIONS IN ELDERLY UROLOGICAL PATIENTS

はじめに

　泌尿器科入院症例は手術を前提にしたものが多く，また少なからざる老人症例を含んでいる。よつてその管理には一般外科とは異なつた配慮を要する。今回当科における最近約5年間の老人入院症例について調査したので，その概要を報告したい。

452 patients over 60 years of age were examined in our clinic for the last five years. 29 out of those 365 patients who should have undergone operations were judged inoperable because of grave comp-lications.

Preoperative treatment for the complicating diseases were done in 43 cases.

Furthermore, in 47 cases operative procedures were limited to palliative because of either severe complications or advanced malignancies.
