放射線療法が有効であつた前立腺原発移行上皮癌の1例

A CASE OF PRIMARY TRANSITIONAL CELL CARCINOMA OF THE PROSTATE SUCCESSFULLY TREATED BY IRRADIATION

緒言

　排尿障害と左下腹部腫瘤を主訴とし，組織学的に移行上皮癌と診断され，放射線療法が有効と思われた前立腺原発移行上皮癌の1例を経験したので報告する。

A 49 year-old man was admitted complaining of dysuria and a mass in the left lower abdomen. Rectal examination revealed a markedly enlarged, stony hard prostate. Serum acid phosphatase and alkali-phosphatase were normal. Biopsy of the prostate showed transitional cell carcinoma. A total tumor dose of 6,000 rad was given over the abdominal mass and 4,200 rad over the prostate. After the irradi-ation, the abdominal mass was not palpated and the prostate was decreased in size. Four months after discharge, the patient is asymptomatic with medication of 5 FU.
