  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

A study was made to determine the efficacy of counting chamber method as a means of detection of the urinary tract infection in children and infants. Thus following results were obtained.

1) Rod counts under counting chamber method were correlated with colony counts in about 80 % of the total specimens of urine evaluated. But false negative results were less frequently observed in counting chamber method than that in unstained uncentrifaged specimens of urine.
