はじめに

　泌尿器科領域で静脈性腎盂撮影（以下IVPと省略）は年々増加しているが，これにつれて通常のIVPで腎盂像を認めない，いわゆるnon-visualizing kidneyを見出す機会がふえ，これをいかに診断し治療するかが日常の問題となつてきた。しかしながら，一般のnon-visualizing kidneyについては若干の報告に接するものの，小児のnon-visualizing kidneyについてとりあげたものはなく，この点から，われわれは1961年より1970年までの10年間に横浜市立大学医学部病院泌尿器科において経験した小児non-visualizing kidney例につき検討を加えてみた。

Increasing number of the non-visualizing kidneys are found on IVP performed as screening test for renal and other urological diseases. Paucity of the reports concerning the non-visualizing kidneys in children lead us to review our cases experienced at the Yokohama City University Hospital in the past ten years.

The ectopic opening of the ureter associated with hypoplastic kidneys, Wilms tumor, hydronephrosis and renal tuberculosis were the chief causative diseases in these non-visualizing kidneys. 14 cases out of 17 are influenced by the inborn errors.
