精索原発と思われる胎児性癌の1例

EMBRYONAL CARCINOMA OF THE SPERMATIC CORD: A CASE REPORT

緒言

　精索に発生するGerminal Tumorは極めて稀であり，中でもEmbryonal Carcinomaの報告は文献上見出し得ない。著者らは後腹膜腔その他に転移をともなつた，精索原発と考えられる胎児性癌の1例を経験したので報告する。

A Case of embryonal carcinoma localized in the spermatic cord, in a 11 months old boy was reported. At 3 months of age, the left scrotal content was discovered to be larger than the right, which gradually enlarged to a thumb tip sized, hard mass with an irregular surface, at his first visit to our clinic and prompt orchiectomy, by high ligation, was performed. The tumor was located and localized at the lower anterior portion of the spermatic cord, in contact to the head of the epididymis but completely encapsulated and well demarcated from the testis and epididymis, which showed no pathology, such as scar tissue and minor focus.
