膀胱癌に対する電子線開創照射の小経験

DIRECT VIEW IRRADIATION BY BETATRON ELECTRON BEAM FOR BLADDER CARCINOMA

緒言

　膀胱癌の根治性向上のためには早期に発見し，膀胱全摘除術兼尿路変更術とくに回腸導管を施行するのが当然好ましいようであるが，より簡易にしかも術後の患者のうけるわずらわしさの解消のために各種の方法が試みられている。その一つに電子線の開創照射療法が挙げられる。

　この方面では国立がんセンターの松本氏らの詳細な報告に接するが，いまだ広くは行なわれていないようである。

Satisfactory effect is not expected by external radiation even by the recent supervoltage radiation for bladder carcinoma. This is due to the fact that, the bladder is a hollow organ and the tumor can not be fixed, leads to the impossibility of obtaining even distribution of radiation, and the local side effect not being minimum.

9 cases of bladder tumor was treated by Betatron electron beam through the open wound during suprapubic cystostomy. Each dose was 6 or 12 MeV, 2500 to 3000 R and the field size was 3 to 4 cmφ. The tumor was radiated after electrocoagulation.
