　患者は62歳，男性。右側腹部痛のため近医を受診した。CT，MRIにて右後腹膜に巨大な腫瘤を認めた。腫瘍摘出術を施行し，病理診断では後腹膜に発生したpleomorphic typeの悪性線維性組織球腫であった。術後3か月目に施行した腹部CTにて局所再発を認め，右後腹膜腫瘍摘出術を施行した。ordinary type；pleomorphic subtypeの悪性線維性組織球腫で，再発との病理診断であった。

A 62-year-old man with right flank pain was referred to our institution. Computed tomography（CT）scan and magnetic resonance imaging（MRI）showed a huge mass in the right retroperitoneal space. The tumor was removed together with right kidney and histological examination revealed pleomorphic malignant fibrous histiocytoma（MFH）. Abdominal CT scan performed 3months after the operation showed a local recurrence. The recurrent tumor in the right retroperitoneal space was dissected and histological examination revealed recurrent MFH,compatible with an ordinary type；pleomorphic subtype of MFH.（Rinsho Hinyokika 58：237-240,2004）
