66歳，男性。1995年に左腎癌の診断で根治的左腎摘除術を施行した。経過観察中の2002年に胸部CTで甲状腺に直径2cmの腫瘍を認めた。超音波ガイド下に穿刺吸引細胞診を行ったところクラスⅣであったため，甲状腺右葉切除術を施行した。腎癌の甲状腺転移の診断であった。以後，インターフェロン療法を行いつつ経過観察中であるが，甲状腺左葉を含め他の転移病変を認めていない。

A case of solitary metastasis of renal cell carcinoma to the thyroid gland is reported. A 66-year-old man,who had a past history of left nephrectomy owing to left renal cell carcinoma 7 years before,was found to have a mass in the thyroid on follow-up computed tomography. Fine-needle aspiration cytology showed classⅣ. Hemi-thyroidectomy was performed. Histological examination revealed metastasis of renal cell carcinoma,with immunohistochemical technique ruling out primary thyroid carcinoma. Postoperative course was uneventful,and no other metastasis was found.
