A 19-year-old man with thermal burn due to melted hot Barium chloride showed severe vomiting, diarrhea, paralysis of extremities, hypertension, arythmia, oliguria and died on 6th clay after hospitalized.

Proteinuria and increased urine and serum creatine level were showed. Internal creati nine clearance was decreased (595.5 dl/day).

Six hundred and sixty PPM of Barium chloride was detected in serum.

Histologic examination of autopsy specimens showed acute swelling of epilhelium of renal tubes, vacuolar degeneration of liver cells and increased eosinophils in spleen.
