  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

A 56-year-old woman developed a seborrheic lesion on the scalp 2 years ago, which appeared subsequently on the face and trunk.

At her first visit, she had erythematocrusted lesions on the face similar to those of lupus erythematosus or seborrheic dermatitis, and flaccid bullae that were broken easily and left large denuded parts in the seborrheic areas with yellowish crusts and scales.

No oral lesion was noted. Nikolsky's sign was positive.

Histologic picture was typical. DNA skin test was positive. After 5 months' treatment with steroids accompanied by germanin injection the skin manifestations subsided and she has been keeping good health for 2 years only with small lesions on the face which could be well controlled by topical application of a steroid ointment.
