肺大細胞癌による転移性口蓋扁桃腫瘍の1例

Metastatic Large Cell Carcinoma of the Lung to the Palatine Tonsil

　はじめに

　口蓋扁桃に発生する悪性腫瘍はそのほとんどが原発性であり，転移性腫瘍の報告は少ない^1〜3）。

　今回われわれは，肺大細胞癌を原発巣とする転移性口蓋扁桃悪性腫瘍の1例を経験したので，臨床経過に若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

A 70-year-old man complained of foreign body feel-ing in his pharynx 2 month after chemotherapy and irra-diation for his right lung cancer. On examination, a masswith ulcer and white coat arising from the right palatine tonsil was found. The histopathological findings of the tonsil were compatible with the original large cell carci-noma of the lung. External radiotherapy to the neck (60 Gy) was selected as a palliative treatment. The tonsillar tumor and cervical adenopathy disappeared with the symptoms. Eleven months later, no tumor was found in the tonsil, although the patient still had carcinoma in his both lungs.
