口蓋扁桃に発生したverrucous carcinomaの1症例

Verrucous Carcinoma of the Palatine Tonsil:Report of a Case

　はじめに

　Verrucous carcinomaは高度に分化した扁平上皮癌の1亜型であるが，ほかの高分化扁平上皮癌とは異なった性質をもつ，比較的悪性度の低い癌である^1）。本腫瘍は耳鼻咽喉科領域では口腔領域を中心に多くの報告がされており^1〜5），その中でも頬粘膜，歯肉，舌などが好発部位として知られている^1）。しかし，口蓋扁桃に発生したものは稀で，その報告は口腔verrucous carcinomaの約1％に過ぎない^3,4）。

　今回われわれは，口蓋扁桃に発生したverru-cous carcinomaの1例を経験したので報告する。

Although verrucous carcinoma in the oral cavity hasfrequently been reported, this tumor arising from the palatine tonsil was reported only 1% of oral verrucous carcinoma. Because verrucous carcinoma is never metas-tasized to lymph nodes and/or the distant organs, only resection of tumor involved the palatine tonsil by Nd: YAG laser was undergone, and the tumor was com-pletely removed.
