鼓膜に発生した上皮嚢腫の1症例

Epidermal Cyst of the Tympanic Membrane:A Case Report

　はじめに

　鼓膜に限局して上皮嚢腫が発生した症例は少ない。これまでに鼓膜形成術後^1,2），中耳換気チューブ挿入術後^3〜6），鼓膜外傷後^7），急性中耳炎後^8），先天性^9,10）などが報告されている。

　最近筆者らは，出血を伴った急性化膿性中耳炎から約1年後に鼓膜臍部皮膚層直下に発生した白色小腫瘤が病理組織学的に上皮嚢腫であった症例を経験したので，若干の文献的考察を加え報告する。

Epidermal cyst in the tympanic membrane is a rare condition that may present as congenital, or as a complication of myringotomy or myringoplasty.

A 5-year-old boy presented with a small whitepear-like mass at the umbo of the left tympanic membrane. The child was treated for otitis media with haemorrhagic myringitis for one year. No myringotomy had been performed. One year later the mass was removed from the left tympanic membrane. The speciment was 3.5×2.5×2.5 mm in size. The diagnosis was epidermal cyst.

It was thought that the cyst was not congenital but probably resulting from otitis media with haemorrhagic miringitis.
