都立広尾病院・耳鼻咽喉科の救急外来における最近2年間の集計—14年前との比較

Analysis of Emergency Patients in the Otolaryngology Department, Hiroo Metropolitan Hospital in Recent Two Years, Compared with 14 Years Ago

　はじめに

　休日や夜間の救急外来は，国民の健康を守るうえでも重要であることはいうまでもない。近年，社会構造の変化により夜間，休日の受診者数は増加の一途をたどっている^1〜3）。当院には12系列の救急体制があり，1次から3次救急までを取り扱っている。当科は眼科，泌尿器科，皮膚科，形成外科，放射線科の6科で混合系をつくり，耳鼻咽喉科の患者のみの診療にあたっているが，1次救急のものがほとんどである。

　今回，最近2年間における当院耳鼻咽喉科の救急外来の集計を行ったので，一般市中病院の実態を報告するとともに，14年前に行った集計と比較し^4），疾病や社会の変化について検討したので報告する。また将来，耳鼻咽喉科が救急患者に対してどのように対処したらよいかについても言及した。

Data from 441 patients who made emergency visits during the two year period from 1996-1998 were analysed and compared with those from 14 years ago.

The overall number of patients had increased 1.5 times, with an increase in the 20~40 year range.

The incidence of tonsillitis, pharyngitis and ver-tigo was increased.

The peak visiting hour was 8 p. m

Results indicated a need to establish the improve-ment of the system of the night and holiday consul-tation in order to deal proactively with patients with otolaryngologic diseases.
