副鼻腔原発髄膜腫の1症例

Primary Ectopic Meningioma of the Paranasal Sinus:A Case Report

　はじめに

　髄膜腫はクモ膜細胞起源の良性腫瘍であり，脳腫瘍の中では約20％の割合を占める一般的な腫瘍である。しかし，頭蓋外に発生する異所性髄膜腫は珍しく，その頻度は全髄膜腫の0.9〜2.0％^1,2）と報告されている。今回，われわれは副鼻腔原発の髄膜腫の1例を経験したので報告する。

A 56-year-old male presented with nasal obstruc-tion for several months. Physical examination revealed a nasal polyp in the left nose, andradiological examinasion showed the mass occupied in the left sphenoid sinus and nasal cavity. The mass was removed by endoscopic sinus surgery. His-tological examination revealed meningothelial type meningioma. We reviewed 44 cases in the literature, and discussd about certain aspects of extracranial meningioma originated from the nasal cavity. No evidence of recurrence of tumor was found for 4 months after operation.
