喉頭saccular cystの1例

A Case of Laryngeal Saccular Cyst

　はじめに

　喉頭嚢胞は嚢胞の内容が空気である喉頭気腫と，内容が粘液であるいわゆる狭義の喉頭嚢胞に分類される。後者のうち，喉頭小嚢開口部が何らかの原因により閉塞し生じるものを喉頭sac-cular cystと呼ぶ。海外では幼児期に呼吸困難をきたす疾患として多数報告されているが^1〜3），本邦ではその報告は少なく稀な疾患と考えられている。今回われわれは，MRI検査により偶然発見された成人喉頭saccular cystの1例を経験したので報告する。

A 43-year-old female was suffered from abnor-mal sensation with swallowing. In the laryngoscopic study, a diffuse swelling was found around the right aryepiglotic fold. CT and MRI revealed a cyst onthe right ventricle.

Saccular cyst was diagnosed based on its charac-teristic site, and the cyst was totally removed without tracheostomy. At the present, there are no signs of recurrence.

Only four cases have been reported in the Japanese literature. We reviewed and discussed etiology, diagnosis and treatment of laryngeal sac-cular cyst.
