緒言
Parapelvic cystは，腎洞に存在し嚢胞が大きくなるにしたがい腎盂や，時に腎実質を圧迫することにより腎機能に影響を与える。発病が比較的高齢であるため，症状により悪性腫瘍やその他の合併症と鑑別診断する必要があり，また，今日でも病因論につきなお議論されている疾患である。
私達は，最近parapelvic cystの1例を経験したので，内外の文献的考察を加え報告する。
A 53 year old male, complaining right dull flank pain, visited our clinic.
Radiological diagnosis showed right renal calculi (KUB), compressed shadow of right renal calices and pelvis (IVP), shadow like a ball at the extrarenal pelvis (Tomography), and space occupying lesion from right renal pelvis to lower pole (Renal arteriography).
At operation, solitary cyst, 5cm in diameter, was seen at the right extrarenal pelvis, surrounded by a thin wall with fluctuation.
Pathologically, cyst wall was consisted of fibromuscular tissue without epithelium and included fibrotic atrophied renal tissue partly.
