心身医学的援助を必要とした難聴症例

Psychosomatic Therapy for a Patient with Hearing Loss:A Case Report

　はじめに

　身体の器質的・機能的な障害を負ったり，あるいは，身体の部分的な喪失，機能の喪失を余儀なくされた患者は社会的問題だけでなく心理的な問題も多かれ少なかれ抱えている^1）。しかし自己の力ではそれらの心理的問題を解決できない場合には何らかの援助が必要となる。今回，心身医学的援助が難聴という障害の受容に有効であった難聴症例を経験したので若干の考察を加えて報告する。

A 40-year-old female presented with various psychosocial problems secondary to her sensorineu-ral deafness. She was a music teacher in a school for the blind. She retained moderate hearing, but she felt psychosocial stress in daily life. She complained of anxiety on daily life, work and future. Her psychosocial problems seemed attributed to no psy-chological acceptance of her deafness. We perform-ed a psychotherapy according as “mourning work” theory. Gradually she could consider herself as a person with hearing loss and achieved a mental good state.
