開業21年間異物症例の統計

Statistical Analysis of Foreign Bodies in ENT Field in the Last 21 Years

　はじめに

　昭和44年（1969年）8月より平成2年（1990年）8月まで21年間に摘出した異物2,969例についての統計的検索を行い，若干の知見を得たので報告する。

　異物症例の統計は大学病院，国公立病院などの総合病院では気管食道の異物症例が多いが^1,2），容易に摘出可能な異物症例は診療所のほうが当然ではあるがはるかに多いと思われる。筆者は過去に開業11年間の異物症例の統計^3）を報告し，都市計画による環境の変化，生活様式・食生活の変化により異物症例にも変化が起こることを述べた。その後10年間の当地域の異物症例を加え，21年間をIV期に分けて比較を行い考察を加えて述べる。

In the past 21 years, 2,969 cases (2.1%) of foreign bodies in the ENT field were found in 14,251 patients, including 1,282 cases of foreign bodies in the external auditory canal (43.2%), 438 in the nasal cavity (14.8%), 1,152 in the oral cavity and pharynx (38.8%), 90 in the esophagus (3.0%), and 7 in the larynx (0.2%).

Comparative study on the foreign bodies was made between 4 different periods in the 21 years, and the author realized changes of people's mode of life and their foods in this district.
