稀有なる食道異物症例ならびにわが教室21年間の食道異物症統計

A RARE CASE OF ESOPHAGEAL FOREIGN BODY

　生後29日の乳児に見られた稀有なる臍の緒の食道異物症例に遭遇したので報告し，併せて昭和22年より昭和42年までの21年間のわが教室における食道異物症の統計的観察を試みたので報告する。

　A rare case of esophageal foreign body caused by dried umbilical cord, in a new-born infant, 29 days old, is reported. It all happenedwhen the big sister, aged 2, presumably inserted the dried cord into the infant's mouth in the abscence of the mother at the moment. Alarming symptoms of foreign body developed 24 hours later. The foreign body was removed uneventfully. The literature on foreign body is reviewed.
