めまいを主訴とした小脳橋角部病変の臨床統計

Statistical Analysis on the Cases of Space Occupying Lesions in the Cerebellopontine Angle with Vertigo or Imbalance as a Chief Complaint

　はじめに

　一側性感音難聴や，進行性のふらつきを主訴とする症例の初期診療において聴神経腫瘍は重要な除外診断の対象である。しかし，めまいを主訴とする聴神経腫瘍症例は比較的まれであり^1），とくに回転性めまい発作となると聴神経腫瘍例の主訴としては非典型的である^2,3）。ところが小脳橋角部には髄膜腫などの聴神経腫瘍以外の病変も発生し，ときとして突発性回転性めまい発作で発症するものもある^4）。そこで今回われわれはめまい・ふらつきを主訴とした小脳橋角部病変の臨床統計を検討したので，若干の考察を加えてここに報告する。

In 17 cases of space occupying lesions (SOL) in the cerebellopontine angle (CP angle), chief complaints of vertigo or imbalance were stati-stically investigated. The result showed that CP angle SOL may present sudden transitory vertigo of short duration as a chief complaint. And objective examinations are less reliable in the cases complaining of vertigo than those com-plaining of dizziness or imblance.
