はじめに
今回われわれは小児に発生した耳下腺内神経鞘腫を1例経験した。まれな症例であると考えられるので若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。
Primary tumors of the parotid gland are ex-tremely uncommon in children. For all age groups, neuroma arising within the parotid gland is uncommon. A 12-year-old female patient pre-sented with a mass in the left parotid gland which was subsequently determined to be an in-traparotid neuroma.
No evidence of facial palsy or other findings suggestive of facial nerve involvement were found on preoperative examinations. Intraoperatively, a well encapsulated mass in the superficial lobe of the parotid gland was observed, and there was no adherance to adjacent structures. The mass was readily resected in total along with adjacent parotid gland tissue. No connection or adhesion to the facial nerve was evident. The patient's postoperative course was uneventful.
