医療機関における補聴器フィッティングの実態

Questionnaire on the Hearing Aid Fittings

　はじめに

　補聴器は医療用の装具でありながら，時に単なる電気機器として受け止められていたり，合理的な選択や調整がされないままに放置されていることが少なくない。近年，わが国でも補聴器のフィヅティングの必要性が認識されるようになってきたが，補聴器に一番責任があるのは耳鼻咽喉科医であることは論を待たない。今回第37回日本聴覚医学会（大和田健次郎会長，盛岡）を機会に，医療機関でどのように補聴器のフィッティングが行われているかをアンケートで調査した。今後の補聴器への取り組みを考える一助にしたい。

Having sent a questionnaire on hearing aid fittings to 112 university clinics, 631 general hos-pitals, and 352 individual clinics, we received 63% replies. Only 61% of the university hos-pitals, 38% of the general hospitals, and 23% of the individual clinics complete fittings in their own facilities. On the other hand, hearing aid sales people participate in the fittings to a large extent even in the above-mentioned facilities. Otolaryngologists will be required more participa-tion in the fittings
