小児男子の喉頭癌症例

Laryngeal Cancer in Children:Report of a Case

　はじめに

　喉頭癌は一般に高齢者に多くみられ，60歳以上の症例が70％近くを占め，50歳以上でみると約90％を占める。一方，20歳以下の若年者群はきわめて稀であり，日本TNM分類委員会頭頸部小委員会の資料（1979〜1987）^1）によると，1979〜1987年の間に全国主要施設を訪れた喉頭癌患者（n＝2,950）のうち20歳未満症例は1例を数えるのみである。今回私たちは小児（12歳）の男児に発症した喉頭癌を経験したので文献的考察を加えて報告する。

A 12-year-old boy presented with the stage IV, moderately differentiated squamous cell carcinoma of the larynx. With laser evaporation and che-motherapy followed by radiotherapy, tumor mass and neck lymph node metastasis were completely regressed. However, distant metastasis was deve-loped two months later. Laryngeal carcinoma in children documented in the literature was revie-wed and discussed.
