Most benign tumors arising from the parotid gland are epithelial tumors, such as pleomorphic adenoma, and mesenchymal tumors, such as lipoma, are relatively rare. Lipomas of the parotid gland are reported to account for around 1% of all parotid gland tumors. We reported a patient with lipoma of the parotid gland who was referred to our department with a painless mass in the right parotid region with a review of the literature. Histological examinations and imaging of the mass suggested the diagnosis of lipoma, and the patient was treated by surgical resection.
