  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

Two cases of dentigerous cyst occurring in the maxillary sinus were reported. The first case was a 63-year-old man suffered from purulent dis-charge from gingival fistula. The cyst occupied alower part of the right maxillary sinus and the right upper molar was found in it. The second case was a 9-year-old girl presenting a left cheek swelling. The cyst involved the left maxillary sinus and originated from the supernumerary tooth.

Computed tomography revealed a dental shadow and a homogeneous cystic shadow. In the firstcase, the cyst was enclosed with high-density bony wall. Orthopantomogram was useful to know the spatial distribution and ultrasonography was also useful to know the fluid content.

Since the reports by the otolaryngologists were only a few, a bibliographic review was briefly discussed.
