下咽頭肉腫様癌の1例

A Case of Hypopharyngeal Sarcomatoid Carcinoma

I．はじめに

　下咽頭癌はほとんどが扁平上皮癌であるが，扁平上皮癌の亜型として分類されている肉腫様癌が下咽頭に発生することは少なく，これまでのところ国内報告例は15例をみるに過ぎない^1～4）。

　今回われわれは，下咽頭に発生した肉腫様癌の1例を経験したので，文献的考察を加えて報告する。

　Sarcomatoid carcinoma is a rare malignancy consisting of both carcinomatous and sarcomatous tissue. A 61-year-old man with a complaint of pharyngeal pain on swallowing presented with a tumorous lesion in the right postcricoid area of the hypopharynx. The patient underwent laryngo-esophago-pharyngectomy with bilateral neck dissection,and then postoperative radiation therapy was performed. He was free from disease for over one year after the last treatment,and the significance of resection for this disease has been demonstrated.
