Lymphangiomas are uncommon developmental anomalies and involvement of the tongue is rare. But lymphangioma of the tongue is the most common cause of macroglossia. We present a case with lymphangiomatous macroglossia causing difficulty swallowing, drooling and slurred speech. She had many decayed teeth and we speculated that these bad teeth could cause macroglossia. Treatment of decayed teeth significantly improved macroglossia and now she has no complaints. Less aggressive, symptomatic therapy may be an alternative to avoid multiple surgery.
