嚢腫による稀有な巨舌症の1例

　緒言

　巨舌症とは臨床上舌が全般的に肥大して見える場合を云い，その成因に關しては從來の報告に依れば殆ど海綿樣淋巴管腫が擧げられている．本例は巨舌の發現期及びその大きさに於て全く異例であり，成因は淋巴管腫の擴大により構成されたと考えられる只1つの嚢腫によるもので，かゝる症例は本邦文献にはあまり記載がないので茲に報告する．

Matsuda and Miyazaki report a case of macroglossia in an infant that was present since the time of its birth as a mass that had protruded from the mouth and as large as a small hen's egg. The infant was thereby hindered in sucking. This mass k removed but 2 months later the patient died of inanition. Microscopical examination of the growth showed proliferation of cells that resembled those of lymphagio-endothelioma but the final diagnosis is a cystic lym-phoma the likes of which is rare in the literature.
