老人性円盤状黄斑変性症患者の血清銅および亜鉛値

Serum levels of copper and zinc in age-related disciform macular degeneration

　老人性円盤状黄斑変性症患者28例の血清銅値および亜鉛値を測定し，網膜疾患をもたない白内障患者11例を対照として比較検討した。血清銅値は黄斑変性症群が80〜135μg／dl，平均106.3±12.4μg／dl，対照群は83〜138μg／dl平均106.7±15.1μg／dlであった。血清亜鉛値は，黄斑変性症群が48〜88μg／dl，平均63.6±8.53μg／dl，対照群は65〜96μg／dl，平均81.3±8.63μg／dlであった。血清銅値は両群で有意差を認めなかったが，血清亜鉛値は有意水準1％以下で，黄斑変性症群のほうが低かった。亜鉛の潜在的欠乏が老人性円盤状黄斑変性症の発生に関与している可能性があると思われた。

We quantitated the serum levels of copper and zinc in 28 patients with age-related disciform macular degeneration. Another series of 11 cataract patients without maculopathy served as control.There was no significant difference in copper level between the 2 groups. The serum zinc levels aver-aged 63.6±8.53μg/dl in macular degeneration group and 81.3±8.63μg/dl in controls. The differ-ence was significant (p＜0.01). The findings seemed to suggest a possible association between decreased zinc in the serum and age-related disciform macular degeneration.
