  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

Experimental uveitis was induced in rabbits by intravenous injection of endotoxin using E. coli lipopolysac-charide (1μg/kg). Either 2% pilocarpine, 1% apraclonidine and 0.5% betaxolol was instilled in one eye with the fellow eye serving as control. Preliminary studies showed no changes in the aqueous flare following instillation in healthy eyes. In uveitis eyes, neither pilocarpine nor betaxolol induced significant changes in aqueous flare. Apraclonidine induced significant reduction in flare values.
