（25A-2）　愛知未熟児網膜症研究会は1986,1987年の愛知県における未熟児網膜症の実態を報告している。前回と同様のアンケート調査を，今回1993,1994年の2年間について行った。両調査の間で，総出生数が減少傾向にあるにもかかわらず，1,500g未満の未熟児は約15％増加していた。出生体重別に未熟児網膜症を前回調査と比較したところ，発症率には差がなかった。しかし重症化する割合は，出生体重900g未満で大きく減少した。このことは，未熟児を取り巻く医療の進歩が未熟児網膜症の重症化を抑える効果を示していると考えたい。本報告は未熟児網膜症の最新の実態である。

We performed an epidemiological survey of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) in Aichi Prefecture in central Japan during 1993 and 1994. There were 657 very low birthweight infants (VLBW) with the birthweight of 1,500g or less. The findings were compared with our former survey in 1986 and 1987. The number of VLBW increased by about 15% in spite of decrease in the number of birth. The incidence of ROP was the same in the two periods. The incidence of severe ROP has decreased in infants with the birthweight of 900g or less, presumably due to improved neonatal care. The current survey shows the latest data about ROP in Japan.
