Prism adaptation test for vertical strabismus

　40例の上下斜視患者を対象に，術前のプリズムアダプテーションテストの有効性を検討した。21例はプリズムアダプテーションテストで測定された斜視角をもとに手術を施行された。19例は対照群としてプリズム交代カバーテストでの斜視角をもとに手術を施行された。プリズムアダプテーションテスト施行群は術後眼位が全例10Δ以内におさまっており，本法の有効性が示された。

We evaluated the efficacy of preoperative prism adaptation test in 40 patients with vertical strabismus. Surgery was performed in 21 patients to correct the angle of deviation as determined by the test.Surgery was performed in the other 19 patients to correct the angle of deviation as determined by alternative prism cover test. All the cases in the former group showed postsurgical deviations of less than 10 prism diopters, suggesting the efficacy of prism adaptation test.
