膠様滴状角膜変性症患者の連続装用ソフトコンタクトレンズ沈着物

Deposits on soft contact lens of a patient with gelatinous drop-like corneal dystrophy

　膠様滴状角膜変性症患者が装用していたソフトコンタクトレンズ表面への沈着物の組織学的検討を行った。患者は3年前に表層角膜移植術および角膜上皮形成術後に治療用ソフトコンタクトレンズを連続装用しており，細隙灯顕微鏡検査では明らかな再発がみられなかった。レンズ表面の沈着物は，コンゴーレッド染色陽性で，アミロイド陽性所見を示した。一見鎮静化したと考えられる上皮における，subclinicalなアミロイドの産生が確認された。

A 27-year-old female underwent lamellar keratoplasty with epithelioplasty for gelatinous drop-like corneal dystrophy in the left eye three years before. She has been successfully wearing a therapeutic soft contact lens ever since. There has been no recurrence in the cornea by slitlamp examination. The deposits on the lens surface stained positively by Congo red, suggesting the presence of amyloid material. The findings show that subclinical amyaloid production has been under way by the corneal surface.
