10年後に第2眼に発症した網膜色素変性例

A case of retinitis pigmentosa involving the second eye ten years later

　片眼性の網膜色素変性で，10年後に健眼にも発症した40歳女性の1例を経験した。したがって片眼性の網膜色素変性様の病変をみたときには長期（少なくとも10年以上）にわたり健眼の経過観察が必要と考えられた。

A female had been diagnosed as unilateral retinitis pigmentosa ten years before. Now aged 44 years, her initially intact fellow eye was found to have developed retinitis pigmentosa. This case illustrates that the apparently healthy fellow eye of patients with unilateral retinitis pigmentosa ought to be followed up for at least ten years.
