  • Look Inside

We report the clinical, histopathological and immunohistochemical features of lymphocytic infil-trates in the conjunctiva and orbit in 17 affected cases, 13 males and 4 females. The ages ranged from 48 to 89 years, average 62.5 years. Biopsy was performed in all the cases to identify the his-tological features. The tumor was totally or subtotally extirpated in some cases. Malignant lymphoma was found in 6 cases. It was of diffuselarge cell type in 2 cases and of diffuse small cell type in 4. Pseudolymphoma was found in 5 cases. No definite histological diagnosis could be made in 6 cases. Imunohistologically, 3 cases showed mono-clonality and 2 showed polyclonality. We perfor-med radiation as the first choice for malignant lymphoma of diffuse large cell type. Radiation or corticosteroid therapy was performed for diffuse small cell type or pseudolymphoma. All local recurrences were treated by radiation with good outcome.
