高圧酸素療法にて著明な視力改善が得られた症例についての検討

Remarkable visual improvements after hyperbaric oxygen therapy

　過去42か月の期間に高圧酸素療法を行った各種の眼底疾患120例151眼のうち，8例9眼で視力が治療前の0.5以下から1.0以上に改善した8例9眼を検討した。内訳は，網膜分枝閉塞症，うっ血性網膜中心静脈閉塞症，中心性漿液性網脈絡膜症，糖尿病性網膜症各2眼と網膜血管腫1眼である。このうち5例6眼には治療開始前に光凝固が行われていた。全例で治療の時点では，黄斑浮腫ないし中心窩への螢光漏出はほとんどなかった。視力が1.0以上に達するまでに，14回から25回の高圧酸素療法が行われた。治療の全経過を通じて検眼鏡的に大きな変化はなく，螢光造影所見も治療前と同様であった。

Nine eyes responded by remarkable improve-ments in visual acuity from less than 10/20 to 20/20 or over after hyperbaric oxygen therapy. The series comprised 2 eyes with branch retinal vein occlusion, 2 with central retinal vein occlusion, 2 with central serous detachment, 2 with diabetic retinopathy and1 retinal aneurysm. Macular edema was absent or minimal in all the eyes before start of treatment. Considering the financial aspect of the therapy, the best indication of this therapeutic modality appear-ed to be the presence of slight macular edema in these diseases.
