Abstract. Purpose:To present a review of 106 eyes that received repositioning of dislocated intraocular lens. Cases and Method:This study was made on 106 eyes that received repositioning of dislocated intraocular lens in the past 78 months. They were evaluated regarding the duration after cataract surgery, their background, and intraoperative complications. Results:Duration between cataract surgery and repositioning of intraocular lens averaged 103.6 months. Following factors were identified as causing weakening of zonule of Zinn:previous eye surgery 16 eyes, atopic dermatitis 14 eyes, blunt ocular trauma 11 eyes, uveitis 9 eyes, and exfoliation syndrome 4 eyes. High myopia had been present in 21 eyes. Complication during cataract surgery had developed in 26 eyes. Conclusion:Inserted intraocular lens may develop late dislocation and need repositioning in eyes with weak zonule or with complication during initial cataract surgery.
