カルシュウム拮抗剤—塩酸フルナリジンの原発開放隅角緑内障および低眼圧緑内障に対する効果と副作用

Effects of flunarizine on primary open angle and low tension glaucomas

　眼内血液循環改善のため，持続型脳血管障害改善剤のカルシュウム拮抗剤・塩酸フルナリジン（フルナール®）をPOAGおよびLTGにて内服投与して，視野や乳頭の状態に変化をきたすかどうか，さらに副作用について検討した。視野や乳頭については一時的に改善されたように見える例が6／45＝13.3％に見られた。6ヵ月以上投与を継続できた例は37／45＝82.2％で，その内の14／37＝37.9％にパーキンソン症候群，鬱状態，錐体外路障害の重篤な副作用が見られた。特に，女性，高齢者にこの傾向が強かった。

We evaluated the effect of flunarizine, an antical-cium agent, in 28 cases with primary open angle glaucoma (POAG) and 17 cases of low tension glaucoma (LTG). Eight cases dropped out after continuous administration of 10 mg flunarizine for one year. While the visual field or disc cuppingshowed temporary improvements in 6 out of 45 cases (13 %), the improvements were not apparent after one year of treatment. Side effects were observed in 14 out of 37 cases (37 %). They includ-ed parkinsonism, episodes of mental depression and extrapyramidal lesions. Females and senile subjects were more prone to develop side effects.
