A 87-year-old male underwent uneventful extracapsular cataract extraction for both eyes in 2 separate session. Malignant glaucoma developed in

Retinectomy was performed to relieve shortened and thickened retina in rhegmatogenous retinal detachment with advanced proliferative vitreo-retinopathy. Anatomical success resulted in 25 out of 45 treated eyes (56%) with at least 12 months of follow-up. Functional success with visual acuity of 0.01 or above was obtained in 20 eyes (44%).
